In February, the domestic retail penetration rate of new energy vehicles (NEVs) reached 35.2%, a 3.6 percentage point increase compared to the 31.6% penetration rate in the same period last year.
The retail sales volume of NEVs was 388,000 units, marking an 11.56% decline compared to the same period last year. Of this, the sales of pure electric vehicles (EVs) totaled 220,000 units, down 25.32% year-on-year, accounting for 56.65% of total sales. Meanwhile, sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) reached 168,000 units, up 16.46% year-on-year, making it the only segment to show growth, and it now holds a 43.35% share of the NEV market.
